Cold hangars, also called sheet-metal hangars, are an economical and fast solution for storing machinery, for production, or for warehousing that does not require special temperature control.
Because the structure has no insulation layer, this type of building usually costs less and goes up faster than insulated hangars. We build in Kaunas and across central Lithuania.

How dimensions are chosen
The size of a cold hangar depends not only on what is stored but on how it moves through the building. In practice three things matter most: the floor area required, the height to the structure, and the position of the doors. If machinery has to drive in and out without turning, a longer but narrower building is often more practical.
The most popular designed sizes – from 6×12 m to 24×30 m – can be viewed in the catalogue. If none of them fits, we select dimensions individually or propose a repeat 12 m wide design whose length can be chosen in 6 metre steps.
When a cold hangar is not enough
It is worth choosing an insulated hangar if people will work inside continuously, if cold- or damp-sensitive goods will be stored, if you are planning a shop or customer-facing space, or if the activity requires a stable temperature all year.

Can you work in a cold hangar in winter?
You can, but the space is unheated and its temperature is close to the outdoor temperature. If stable warmth is needed, insulated hangars are more suitable.
Can a hangar be insulated later?
We assess this individually, based on the existing structure and your goals. It is worth raising during the design stage.
