Agricultural Hangars in Kaunas

modular storage hangar - operational Prienai

Agricultural hangars are versatile spaces for grain storage, vegetable storage and garages or canopies for farm machinery. We adapt the building to your line of work, because farm requirements differ even between neighbouring farms.

We work in Kaunas and central Lithuania, so we know the needs and the seasonal rhythm of farms in the region well.

Solutions by activity

What a farm building needs depends on what will be kept inside:

Grain storage

Space where protection from damp and convenient loading matter.

Vegetable storage

Where more stable conditions are needed, an insulated building from sandwich panels is suitable.

Machinery garages

For tractors, combines and implements a sheet-metal hangar is often enough.

Canopies

For feed and raw materials – see canopies and light structures.

How the work is done

If you want to start sooner, we offer repeat designs: 12 m wide hangars whose length can be chosen in 6 metre steps.

Planning a new farm building? Tell us what activity it is for and roughly how much area you need, and we will propose a suitable solution.

Consultation

We discuss the activity, seasonality and the machinery that will enter the building.

Choosing the type

We select an insulated or cold building, a canopy, or a combination.

Dimensions

We establish the floor area and height required.

Manufacturing and assembly

Components are prepared at the factory and the structure is assembled on site.

One building or several

On a farm it is often most sensible to combine several solutions: an insulated building for produce, a cold hangar for machinery and a canopy for feed. That way you avoid investing in insulation where it is not needed.

When discussing a project we always ask how the farm works during the season – this often changes the original layout.

Seasonality and planning

Farm buildings have one characteristic that commercial sites do not: they are used most intensively for a few weeks a year. So when planning, it is worth thinking about the peak – harvest, machinery arriving, produce coming in.

In practice that means wider doors, easier access and slightly more area than seems necessary in a quiet period. These things cost almost nothing at the design stage but are very expensive to fix later.

How dimensions are chosen

Dimensions are driven by the produce and machinery. Grain needs floor area and wall height, machinery needs door height and width, and vegetables need the ability to hold more stable conditions. Popular designed sizes are in the catalogue.

Structural design follows the common European Eurocode standards.

Experience on farm sites

Over 15+ years of experience we have completed 100+ projects and worked with 200+ clients. That experience helps us propose a solution that matches the real working rhythm of a farm, not just the drawing.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on storage duration and conditions. Tell us your situation and we will propose a suitable type.

Yes, we adapt the layout to the activity.

Often yes, if protection from wind and dust is not needed. Otherwise an enclosed hangar is more suitable.

Popular designed options are in the catalogue, and dimensions can also be adapted individually.

Yes. Get in touch on the contacts page and we will discuss your project.
