Hangars

Historically, hangars originated as shelters for storing, repairing, and servicing aircraft (planes, helicopters). However, today this concept encompasses a much wider range:
- Logistics and storage – storage of goods, raw materials, or cargo.
- Manufacturing – temporary or permanent production lines, workshops.
- Agriculture – storage of equipment, grain warehouses, livestock complexes.
- Commercial buildings – stores with storage capabilities.
Structural features:
Hangars are distinguished by their engineering solutions, which allow for quick and efficient coverage of large areas:
- Frame – our frames are made of steel (metal structures). In rarer cases, reinforced concrete is used.
- Shape – gable/monopitch: Classic shape, allowing better use of vertical space near the walls.
- External cladding – can use profiled sheet metal, multilayer “Sandwich” panels (for insulated hangars), or special PVC tent covering.
Classification by mobility:
- Stationary hangars – long-lasting buildings with foundations, equivalent to capital construction.
- Prefabricated/mobile hangars – can be quickly assembled and, if necessary, disassembled and relocated. This flexibility is very popular in business.
Advantages compared to brick buildings:
- Speed – a hangar can be built in a few weeks or months.
- Cost – due to lighter structures and simpler foundations, costs are usually lower.
- Versatility – the interior space is easy to replan, as there are no partitions or supporting columns in the middle of the building.

Certified quality and standards, why is it important to you?
“Kes Statyba” production and installation processes meet the strictest European Union requirements. We invest in certification not for the documents, but to ensure that your investment is safe, legal, and long-lasting.
LST EN 1090 – Guarantee of steel structure safety
- Essence: This is a mandatory EU standard for metal structure production. It confirms that every weld, bolt, and frame element is calculated to withstand heavy loads (snow, wind).
- Benefit to you: Your hangar will be legal. Without this certificate, building commissioning is practically impossible. You receive a guarantee that the structure is safe and meets all engineering requirements.
ISO 9001 – Highest quality management
- Essence: An international standard ensuring strict quality control at every stage – from raw material purchase to final installation.
- Benefit to you: You avoid “human errors.” Process transparency ensures that the project will be implemented exactly as agreed and on time, and the final product will be defect-free.
ISO 14001 – Responsible approach to the environment
- Essence: An environmental management system that proves we conserve resources and responsibly manage waste in the production process.
- Benefit to you: It provides additional points and facilitates processes if you seek EU support or work according to high sustainability standards. You collaborate with a modern and responsible company.
ISO 45001 – Safety and professionalism on the construction site
- Essence: The strictest occupational health and safety standard.
- Benefit to you: Peace of mind at your site. We take full responsibility for work safety during installation. This ensures that work proceeds smoothly, without incidents or downtime.
